REVISED Public Notice: CCC Route Changes

Thursday, July 09
Charm City Circulator Public Notice:  Proposed changes originally scheduled to take effect on July 20, 2015 will NOT be implemented at this time
Recently, the Department of Transportation announced proposed changes to the Charm City Circulator (CCC) that were scheduled to be implemented on July 20, 2015.  The CCC was being restructured to address budget deficits due to increasing operating expenses and cuts to program funding.
The adjustments were proposed to make the program sustainable while continuing to meet ridership needs.  Changes to the program included the elimination of the Banner Route along with significant modifications to the Green, Orange and Purple Routes.
After hearing numerous concerns from citizens, community groups and elected officials, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced on Monday, July 07, 2015 that these changes would not be implemented.  The Banner Route will no longer be eliminated, however, there will be modifications to the service as well as reevaluation to the Green and Orange Routes.  Additionally, the Purple Route northern extension to 33rd Street will remain as scheduled to be implemented later this year.
While CCC operations are being evaluated, public comments will still be accepted.  Citizens may mail or email testimonies/comments to the Department of Transportation, 417 E. Fayette Street, Room 559, Baltimore, MD 21202 or to Link).  All public comments received will considered by the responsible administrator prior to taking final action on service adjustments.
Several public informational sessions will also be held during the month of July:
