Running Late Now...So We Don't Run Late Later

Wednesday, September 16

Dear Friends of the Charm City Circulator:

By now, the City of Baltimore had hoped to have the first buses running on the Charm City Circulator routes; however, due to the global economic downturn and problems in the automotive supply chain, the 21 hybrid-electric EcoSaver IV that will make up the Charm City Circulator fleet have been slower to arrive in Baltimore than we had expected. We’re working every day with our partners at Veolia and DesignLine to get bus production back on schedule.

In the next few weeks, you’ll be seeing visible signs of progress leading to start-up of the Charm City Circulator – new customer information panels being installed at key stops, signs and street markings for the “bus and bike only” lanes on Pratt and Lombard Streets, and the launch of our new website: www.charmcitycirculator.com.

Please know that if you’re trying to get across the Harbor, say from Fells Point to Locust Point, you can try our Water Taxi Harbor Connector. It leaves every 10 minutes from the Maritime Park at Living Classrooms Foundation in Fells Point and from the Tide Point dock in Locust Point. It’s a much faster way to go than driving all the way around the Inner Harbor – and it’s free! Log on to www.thewatertaxi.com for more info.

Thanks for sticking with us. We’ll be up and running soon, so that you can “Ride Fast. Ride Free. Ride Green”

Sincerely,

Your Charm City Circulator Team
